Lesson Plans - Friday, January 30th

•1^st, 4^th, 7^th Hours:  The students need to work on Lesson 5-5: 1-10, 12, 24-28 during the class period.  If students finish and are restless/hyper/not quiet, please feel free to assign the Chapter 5 Lesson 5 worksheet that is in the students eBackpacks.  You may do this on an individual basis or as a class. Please just let me know.  Hopefully you won’t need to do this. NO iPAD GAMES DURING THESE HOURS!!!

•2^nd, 5^th Hour Girls:  Study hall till 15 minutes left in class.  At that point students may play games or talk quietly if you are ok with that.

•6^th Hour:  Have students access the Chapter 5 Lesson 5 worksheet in Canvas.  They need to work on the assignment on their iPads in the Notability app. This will be due Monday. NO iPAD GAMES DURING THESE HOURS!!!

Lesson Plans - Thursday, January 29th

Happy Birthday Kansas!

•1st, 4th, 7th Hours:  Finished going over lesson 5-5 and assigned Lesson 5-5: 1-10, 12, 24-28 due MONDAY. 
    - Parent to Child Questions:  Ask your child to tell you about the formulas that
       are associated with the Pythagorean Theorem.

•2nd, 5th Hour Boys:  Benchmark Testing

•6th Hour:  Introduced "Canvas" to the students.  Student needs to respond to the discussion question in Canvas.

Lesson Plans - Wednesday, January 28th

•1st Hour: Finished going over lesson 5-4 and worked on a problem solving activity with patterns.  NO ASSIGNMENT.

•2nd Hour Girls:  Benchmark Testing

•4th Hour:  Continued going over lesson 5-5.  NO ASSIGNMENT.
     -Parent to Child Question: Ask your child to tell you about the Pythagorean
      Theorem

•5th-7th Hours:  NO CLASS

Lesson Plans - Tuesday, January 26th

I will be gone today. The following are my instructions to the sub.

1^st Hour:  Have students get out their iPads and their headphones. They are to open up the “Connected” app and watch the tutor work out example 2 on Pg. 399 and example 4 on Pg. 400. Once they have done this they will need to work on Lesson 5-4: 1-7, 10, 11, 28-34 due Wednesday.

2^nd, 5^th Hour Boys:  Tell the boys they will take the whole class benchmark test on Thursday. They may then have a study hall till 15 minutes left in class(9:30-2^nd; 12:28-5^th). If they have been quiet up to that point, they may play games.  If you have a hard time getting them to quiet down, start taking time away from the 15 minutes they have to play games.

4^th, 7^th Hours: Students are to work on Pg. 408, 1-10 due Wednesday.  If the students get finished early they have been instructed to watch the personal tutor videos available in Lesson 5-5. They need to use headphones while watching these.

6^th Hour: Students are to work on Lesson 5-5: 8-30, 32, and 34. They may check their problems with the book if they ask too.  I would not announce this, but don’t turn a kid down if they ask too.  This assignment will be due on Wednesday if we have class, otherwise it will be due Thursday.

•1st Hour:  Went over lesson 5-4. NO ASSIGNMENT.

•2nd, 5th Hour Girls:  Started Benchmarking for entire class.

•4th, 7th Hours:  Went over Problem Solving using patterns and started going over lesson 4-5.  NO ASSIGNMENT.

•6th Hour:  Went over lesson 5-5 and assigned Lesson 5-5: 8-30, 32, 34 due Wednesday or Thursday.
